Period of insurance

The period of insurance, or policy period, is the time between the policy start date and the policy end date.

Why it matters:

It sounds sort of obvious, doesn't it?

But we think it's still worth explaining. By the way, if you've just bought a policy, the coverage may not begin until after the applicable waiting periods. Therefore, take note that your policy is not necessarily effective for the whole period of insurance!
