Does the annual coverage of HKD 40,000 for Home Appliances Warranty Insurance include the on-site inspection fee charged by authorized repair services?
Yes, the on-site inspection fee for authorized repair services is included in the HKD 40,000 annual coverage. 
If an appliance is confirmed to be unrepairable after an authorized inspection, will the cost of the authorized repair service still be covered?

Yes, the Home Appliances Warranty Insurance will cover the inspection fee. 

I received home appliances from the property developer when purchasing my new flat. Since the developer did not provide any receipts for the appliances, how can I prove ownership and file a repair cost claim?

Homeowners can provide any documents verifying their ownership of their property, as well as any documents listing the appliances included with the property purchase. OneDegree will verify the ownership of these appliances based on the provided documentation and the specified appliance brands and models.

#Assuming that a unit with a saleable area of ​​less than 400 square feet is insured, the annual premium for the first year is HKD 1,128, and the average monthly premium is HKD 94. 
^ Only TVs (excluding screens), air conditioners, refrigerators, washing machines, dryers, washer dryer combos, cooker hoods, stoves, ovens, dehumidifiers, air purifiers, water heaters, vacuum cleaners and water purifiers that have been purchased in Hong Kong for no longer than 60 months with a value between HKD3,000 and HKD30,000 are covered, subject to a receipt proof. The maximum claim is limited at HKD40,000 or the repair cost as on the reimbursement invoice of the concerned appliance (whichever is lower), excluding transportation and delivery costs. 
*Based on the repairing cost of 5 major appliances in a 700sq. ft household in OneDegree's internal research in 2023. The repairing cost is for reference only and may vary depending on the brand, type of appliance and repairing details. 

Terms and Conditions

  1. This promotion is valid from now until 28 February 2026 ("Promotion Period").
  2. OneDegree’s system will automatically apply the 30% premium discount on Home Appliances Warranty Insurance(“Offer”) to applicable plans and payment mode and display it on the website.
  3. The discounted premium will be rounded to the nearest whole number during quotation for display purposes. The actual premium payable will be shown at checkout and shall be the final amount.
  4. Only the applicants who do not currently hold any effective Home Appliances Warranty Insurance and have not held any effective Home Appliances Warranty Insurance policy(ies) in the past 3 months from the date of application of the Home Appliances Warranty Insurance are eligible for this promotion.
  5. The Offer is only applicable to premium for the first year of a policy. 
  6. For details of coverage, terms, conditions, and exclusions of Home Appliances Warranty Insurance, please refer to the policy wordings. 
  7. OneDegree may terminate this promotion without notice. All matters or disputes in relation to the promotion and the interpretation of terms and conditions shall be subject to the decision of OneDegree, which shall be final and binding. 
  8. In case of any discrepancy between the English and Chinese versions, the English version shall prevail.
